Just my Opinion - Folks.
Article Two
Section 1:
~The Presidency should be limited to One Six Year Term Only.
But if after another Person or Party has a chance to do the Job -
that first President can run again. (But after he has been out of
That Big White Prison for six years I can't imagine he'll want to
it again - but you never know.)
~Get Rid of the F *ing Electoral System and be done with it.
Let's let the People get out and Vote.
~I forgot to mention this part in the previous post - but basically
let's just make sure that the Voting process is Fair.
~The President deserves a good salary - and if he wants to work for
free or give his Salary to Charity - good for him.
~The Oath of Office.
Personally I heard that you are not supposed to Swear on the Bible.
And this is 2012 - for G-d's Sake - so the President-Elect should be
allowed to put his hand on any book he chooses while he takes the
Oath - even Bill Maher's New Rules. : ]
Section 2
~The President should be rightfully be Commander in Chief as long
as he promises to not let the Pentagon talk him into Wars that simply
are not necessary or Right. And he should consult first with Smart
People. (Certainly he can Pray about it if he is so inclined.)
~He should be able to make Treaties with the consent and good
advice of Congress.
~Yes - appointing the people he chooses to fill Vacancies is one of
Perks of being President and get over it folks. You know you will do
the same when the President of Your Party is in office. Geeeez!
~SOTU speech - Is there really anything more exciting than this folks?
When the POTUS is announced by the really cool Head Guy and then
makes his way to the Front with all the Kiss*ss People trying to shake
his hand without looking too anxious.
Then the really Hot First Lady in the Purple Sleveless Dress (out of
season of course) is recognized and seated next to her are all the recent heroes.
And then the best part is when the People of Congress jump to their
feet to applaud if they are of the same Party of the President and the
others don't. And the SC is lucky cause they just sit there the whole
time.
This is what it's all about People. I love it so much.

stidh's take on article one
This is me going through Article One of the Constitution of the United States.
This is not me thinking that my Opinion is worth anything.
This is just me going through Article One and saying what comes to my mind.
I am not going to mention any part of Article One that does not come to my mind.
Know what I mean?

Section 8 of Article One has a lot in it.
I thought as I read through Section 8 that it seems that the Founding Fathers
were in a hurry - maybe they knew that the Constitution was Good and they
just wanted to include all the things that they felt were important - but not
necessarily in the exact right order.
I didn't know what Post Roads were but wondered if that meant the Pony Express.
It says: To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the
subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States. I didn't get why those two
thoughts were connected in the same place - as they didn't seem to have a connection -
to me.
I don't know what Marque and Reprisal means when they talk about:
To delcar War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules
concerning Captures on Land and Water.
This is something that really spoke to me:
To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use
shall be for a longer Term than two years.
That means to me that they were saying that they hoped that War - the purpose
of having Armies - would not be something dominant or long lasting in the United States.
There were other terms that I didn't understand - buy really the thing about
not wanting to appropriate money for more than two years was the most
important thing I got out of all of Article One.

I would welcome any correction or discussion on this - especially from anyone
who has studied the Constitution or just has an Opinion.

In order to the most perfect opinion about The Constitution of the United States -
it is best to start at the beginning:
We The People of the United States
in Order to form a more perfect Union
establish Justice
insure domestic Tranquility
provide for the common defence
promote the general Welfare
and secure the Blessings of Liberty - to ourselves and our Posterity
do ordain and establish
this
Constitution for the United States of America.

Just look at it for a moment folks.
And then tell me that those words don't choke you up and bring
a few tears to your eyes.
And why do these words do that?
Because this is what it is all about folks.
Of course you already knew that - didn't you.
